Day 2: Your Spirit
When it comes to how we were made, it is fundamental that we understand that we were made by God and for God. I love Mike Bickle’s quote that says, “I am loved (by God) and I am a lover (of God), therefore I am successful.”
The Bible says that each of us has a spirit and that spirit was dead until Christ came. Picture your spirit like a deflated balloon when it was dead to God. Then when you were “made alive” in Christ (1 Peter 3:18) the ‘balloon’ got filled with God’s Spirit and your spirit inflated with Him and became BIG inside of you. Your spirit communicates with God because Spirit talks to spirit. Your ‘alive’ spirit gives you the ability to hear His voice and understand His thoughts.
