Day 4: Your Soul
Genesis 2:7 says that man was created as a “living soul.” Your soul is made up of your mind, your will and your emotions. This is very different than your spirit. Your spirit is the place where regeneration takes place. Your mind, your will and your emotions (your soul) on the other hand must be transformed. How do we do this? Romans 12:2 encourages us to be transformed by a renewing process. “…let God transform you in to a new person by changing the way you think.” (NLT) If our soul is not renewed and brought under the governing of our spirit-man then we will not be able to discern what God is doing in our lives.
