Day 23: Sowing Gratitude

Day 23: Sowing Gratitude

Gratitude allows us to feel a shift, without anything changing but our perspective. It gives us an ability to see the bigger picture and to see the hand of God at work in our life. We all know that sometimes we have to step back from something to see it more clearly. Gratitude allows us to pull back from life’s circumstances and see it through His eyes.

So where do we grow gratitude? We grow gratitude in our minds and our hearts. Gratitude grows really well in our lives when we take time to meditate on the goodness of God; when we begin to agree with what the Spirit is saying rather than what our eyes are seeing. The mind of a Christian is a focused and disciplined mind; a pure and godly mind. This mind focuses on what it has rather than what it doesn’t have. It refuses to dwell on what it is missing. It thanks God for His blessings and believes Him for increase.
